01 | Misted Glass
Fix Misted & Blown Windows Without Replacing the Frame
If your windows look foggy, cloudy, or have condensation trapped between the glass panes, the sealed double-glazed unit has likely failed. We replace failed units to restore clear glass, proper insulation, and full window performance without replacing the entire frame.
What We Do
- Misted glass unit replacement
- Blown double glazing repair
- Condensation between panes fixed
- Energy-efficient glass upgrades
- 12-month warranty on parts and labour
What Causes Misted or Blown Windows?
How double glazing works
Two panes of glass are sealed together with an insulating spacer bar and gas between them.
Why seals fail
Age of the window, weather exposure, frame movement, poor original installation, and temperature expansion/contraction all degrade seals over time.
Why replacement is needed
Once the seal breaks, moisture enters the unit and creates condensation between panes. At that point the sealed unit must be replaced.
02 | Hinge Repairs
Fix Dropped or Draughty Windows Fast
Window hinges wear out with use — especially on heavier casement windows. A dropped or misaligned window isn't just frustrating: it puts strain on the locking mechanism and can make the window impossible to secure properly.
What We Fix
- Top-hung hinge replacement
- Side-hung hinge replacement
- Realignment and adjustment
- Dropped window repair
- 12-month warranty on parts and labour
Symptoms to Look For
- Window catching at the top or bottom
- Gaps when closed
- Draughts coming through
- Difficulty locking
- The sash dropping on one side
- Water ingress around the frame after rain
⚠ Fix the hinges first — a window that won't close properly puts excess load on the locking mechanism. Catching it early avoids a more expensive repair later.
03 | uPVC Windows
We Fix Windows Properly — First Time
We provide professional uPVC window and door repairs including handles, espag mechanisms, hinges, gearboxes, locks, and full servicing. If your window won't open, your handle is spinning, or your door won't lock properly, we fix it properly first time.
Handles
Broken, stiff or loose window handles replaced and adjusted to operate smoothly.
Espag Mechanisms
The internal locking strip that drives all the shootbolts. Repaired or replaced.
Locks & Shootbolts
Multi-point lock barrels, hooks and rollers repaired or replaced on all window types.
Gearboxes
Worn or seized gearboxes replaced without removing the window from the frame.
Hinges
All friction stay and butt hinge types replaced and correctly aligned.
Full Servicing
Complete mechanism clean, lubrication and adjustment — extends the life of all moving parts.
Espag Mechanism Replacement
The espag (espagnolette) mechanism is the internal locking strip inside your window or door. If it fails, your window or door may not lock or open correctly.
Signs your espag has failed:
- Handle turns but nothing happens
- Window won't close properly
- Locking points not engaging
04 | Tilt & Turn Windows
Restore Full Function to Tilt & Turn Windows
Tilt & turn windows have more moving parts than standard casements. When the mechanism fails, the window can get stuck in tilt mode, refuse to close, or lose its ability to lock. We repair the mechanism — avoiding the cost of full replacement where possible.
- Tilt & turn mechanism replacement
- Full window realignment
- Gearbox repair & replacement
- Scissor stay repair
- Lock repair & adjustment
- Handle replacement
